Metix AI

The brand built for the Autonomous AI Recruiter. Delivering booked interviews from an 860M+ profile talent graph, at the speed of action.

Anchor Mētis · Μῆτις
Product Mira
Domain metix.ai
The name

Greek mētis. The intelligence of action: situational, adaptive, exactly on time.

The mark

An open M that bridges down to a gold moment at the centre.

The promise

From open role to booked interview, end to end. We deliver booked interviews, not platform access.

What this is · How to use it · Status

This is the single source of truth for how Metix AI looks, sounds, and behaves. One book, not three. Everything a designer, engineer, or writer needs to make something that is unmistakably ours.

Metix AI is the company. Mira is the product, an AI recruiter who works alongside a hiring team. The brand belongs to Metix AI; Mira lives inside it. When this book says "we," it means Metix AI.

The system has two layers. The frozen layer (the name, the mark, color tokens, type, voice) does not change without Founder sign-off. The living layer (new applications, new components) grows by prototype. When in doubt, prefer restraint. The brand wins by being quieter and more precise than a category that shouts.

What v3 changes
v3 is a full visual redirection. The primary color is now International Klein Blue, the type is Satoshi (no serif), and the accent is Monogold. What carries over: the name, the mētis and kairos story, the voice, and the brand architecture. The symbol is new, an open mark that bridges to a gold moment at its center (Section 03). Everything is grounded in primary research (Hesiod, Detienne and Vernant, Scott; Yves Klein and the Centre Pompidou record; a 20-brand scan; a multi-model mark exploration).
Open decisions for founders (flagged, not decided here)
1 · Brand line vs market wedge: this book carries the brand voice ("Match by understanding"); the GTM site leads with the locked wedge ("Pay for interviews. Not for platform access."). When to use which is settled in Section 10. 2 · Canonical pronunciation. 3 · Whether existing OpenJobs materials reskin to these tokens. See Sections 10 and 01.
Red line, every page
No em dash, anywhere, English or Chinese. Use periods, commas, colons, or "to". This book is written to that rule.

Foundation, the name and why it lasts.

Rename · Etymology · Position

We began as OpenJobs AI, a clean description of a market: an AI that worked on the open jobs. It is the right name for a jobs board with intelligence on top. That is not the company we built.

What we built reads a different signal. We watch for the moment a person becomes ready, a manager move, a shift in how someone describes their work, an inflection in tenure, and we surface the match before either side has begun to search. The capability is situational judgment, not cataloging. The name had to move with the product.

Metix AI names that capability. Greek mētis (Μῆτις) is the intelligence of action: situational, contextual, opportunistic. Detienne and Vernant call it cunning intelligence, the wisdom Odysseus has when he reads the room, not the wisdom Aristotle has when he writes the treatise. It is the exact register a good recruiter works in, and the register our matching is finally good enough to claim.

The -ix ending carries the network voltage that "OpenJobs" could not. It parses at once as a product (Helix, Matrix, Netflix). The Met- prefix half rhymes with meet and metric without committing to either. Three readings, one wordmark.

This is a rename, not a rebrand. Same team. Same product. A truer name. The product did not change; the claim got sharper.

Approved 2026/Q2
"Mētis lies in that large space between the realm of genius, to which no formula can apply, and the realm of codified knowledge, which can be learned by rote." James C. Scott · Seeing Like a State · 1998 · ch. 9
Three kinds of knowing
epistēmē
Formal, universal knowledge. The textbook. Write it down, teach it, apply it identically anywhere.
technē
Rule governed craft. The recipe. Same inputs, same outputs, teachable by instruction.
mētis
Situational judgment. The chef reading the kitchen, the helmsman reading the sea. Recruiting lives here. So does Metix AI.
Kairos · the moment at the heart of the mark

Kairos is the right moment, the qualitative opening, against chronos, mere clock time. Its oldest meaning is literal and it is a gift to this brand: in weaving, kairos was the exact instant the shuttle could pass through the threads on the loom. In archery, the moment the arrow could pass through.

Mētis is the faculty that sees the kairos coming and acts. That is the whole product in two Greek words. The mark holds it: an open M where two sides converge, with a single gold diamond at that exact moment.

"For him who meets me it is given to take me by the forelock. None whom I have once raced past on my winged feet will take hold of me from behind."

Poseidippos · on Lysippos's statue of Kairos · c. 270 BCE
The position
Metix AI is practical wisdom at the speed of action. We do not list jobs and rank them. We read the moment, explain the match, and say no when it is not there.
Brand essence
The intelligence of action, productized. Where the category sells search and volume, Metix AI sells judgment: the right person, the right moment, with the reason attached.
Anticipate
We read the kairos, not the keyword.
Explain
Every match comes with the why.
Refuse
We say no when the match is not there.
Respect
The candidate can see and remove herself.

Naming stewardship · the namespace is crowded, the system is the moat

"Metix AI" is a contested word. A medical device firm (in liquidation), an industrial engineering group, a dormant crypto token at metix-ai.com, a Nasdaq fund ticker (METIX), and an active AI platform one letter away (metiz.ai) all share the space. The bare word will not be ours for a while. That is exactly why the visual system matters: the Klein blue, the paper field, the Satoshi wordmark, and the open mark make Metix AI recognizable where the spelling alone is not.

Treat the name as something to steward, not assume.

Do
Lead with "Metix.ai" or the mark, never bare "Metix AI," in cold contexts. File trademarks in classes 9 (technology), 35 (recruiting), 42 (SaaS) before the public launch; get a clearance opinion on METRIX (live, class 35). Secure @metixai and @getmetix across platforms.
Pronunciation (recommended, pending founder lock)
Canonical: MEE-tix, from Greek mētis (MEE-tis). The market will drift to "MET-iks" or hear "metrics." Do not fight it in the wild; the meaning lives in the story, not the syllables. Publish one guide and move on.
Awards and Partnerships
Product Hunt #1 Product of the Day and **2025 HRTech INNO Award** for AI Innovation Product. Powered by a strategic partnership with **Deel** spanning 130+ countries.
A note we keep ready
"Metix AI" comes from the classical Greek mētis (Μῆτις), cunning intelligence. It is unrelated to the Métis peoples of Canada. Spelling and pronunciation both differ. We say this plainly if asked.

Architecture, Metix AI and Mira.

Master brand · Product · Naming discipline

One company, one product. Keep them in their lanes and the brand stays legible.

Metix AI is the master brand and the platform: the 860M+ profile talent graph, the in-house models, the reach. It owns the logo, the colors, the voice. Mira is the end-to-end Autonomous AI Recruiter that lives on the platform and automates the full pipeline from open role to booked interview. Customers meet Mira; they buy into Metix AI.

Never collapse the two. Calling Mira "a search tool" undersells the product; calling Metix AI "an app" undersells the company. The platform is the wisdom; Mira is how it shows up for one team.

Open: product naming
Whether the product keeps the name "Mira" long term is not formally locked in source docs. Confirm with founders before hard-coding it into schema, page titles, or the footer.

Meaning · Construction · Variants · Misuse
Primary symbol · on Paper
Open M · converging strokes · the gold kairos

The mark is an open form: two strokes rise, dip together into an M at the centre, then close below into a single rounded bridge. Read it as the M of Metix AI, or as two sides meeting: the field and the match, the company and the person. Where they converge sits the gold kairos diamond, the right moment, the match made.

Spare, modernist, drawn in one even weight of line. The meaning is in the convergence; the gold is the one thing that matters, held at the heart.

Wordmark, Metix AI.

Anatomy · Lockups · Misuse
Metix AI
Satoshi 900 · tracking -0.045em · unified monochrome

The wordmark is set in Satoshi, a modernist grotesque from the Indian Type Foundry in the neo-grotesque lineage that the International Typographic Style was built on. At Black weight it is dense, even, and assured, the same machined confidence as Klein's blue. Tracking is tight, near minus four percent. It is a display element, never body text.

The name is always Metix AI, never bare "Metix." The AI is the same size and weight as Metix, set in the same unified color. The gold is held exclusively at the heart of the geometric symbol, keeping the wordmark completely quiet and clean.

Emphasis comes from weight and color, never slant. Satoshi ships an italic, but this brand does not use it; the Swiss tradition it descends from never leaned on one. When a word must carry weight, it carries Klein blue.

  • Never add a tagline lockup at small sizes where the mono line becomes unreadable.
05

Color, one blue, held with discipline.

Klein · Gold · Paper · Ink
The primary is International Klein Blue, the ultramarine Yves Klein bound to keep its raw pigment alive. He called it beyond dimension: the void, the infinite. It reads as a pigment, not a screen blue, and it carries a depth the category default cannot.
How we hold it
Klein only works at full strength and in bold doses, the way Fitzcarraldo Editions prints a whole book cover in it. Use it on heroes, CTAs, and closing panels, not as a continuous wash, which fatigues the eye. White text only on Klein. The hex is non-negotiable: #002FA7, never drifting toward a softer corporate blue.

Gold is the spark, not a text color on blue. On Klein it is 2.6:1. For text/wordmark on blue, we shift to Gold-2 (7.8:1 AAA). On Paper, gold is a dot, a rule, a large numeral, never a sentence.
06

Type, the Swiss spine.

Satoshi · Hanken Grotesk · JetBrains Mono
Why no serif
Klein and IKB belong to mid-century modernism, the same moment that built the International Typographic Style on Akzidenz, Helvetica, and Univers. Sans-serif was that movement's only honest choice. A serif on a Klein-blue brand is a material contradiction. So the type is grotesque, the hierarchy is tight, and emphasis is weight and color, never slant.

A 48px square grid is the warp and weft. On dark panels it shows faintly, at 4 to 5 percent opacity, the visible structure of the weave. With it, a gold radial halo in one corner: light entering the loom.

Data, the Metix AI way

Charts are flat and honest. Klein bars for us, mist for the field, one gold marker for the point that matters. No gradients, no 3D, no glow. A line baseline, mono axis labels.

METIX AI
The spark, in use

Gold is the one note that means "look here". It is the AI in the wordmark, the diamond in the mark, the focus ring, the recommended match, the selected tab. One per view, never a wash.

recommended selected tab focus ring the AI
Restraint
If two things on a screen are gold, one of them is wrong. The spark is singular by design.
08

Imagery, texture, not stock.

Direction · Do · Do not

The category is full of glowing nodes, robot faces, and smiling stock teams. We use none of it. Our images look like structure: woven fields, hairline networks, the quiet geometry of the loom.

When we show data, we show real data, abstracted with restraint. When we show people, we show them as people, documentary and unposed, never as inventory. The default is not a photo at all; it is the system itself, set with air around it.

Candidate respect, in pictures too
Never an image that turns a person into a target or a metric. No crosshairs, no "passive candidate" framing, no faces behind glass. If a candidate saw the picture about herself, it should not unsettle her.
Yes · woven field
Yes · hairline network
No · glowing AI orb

09

Motion, the settle, nothing more.

Principle · The settle · Transitions
still · certain · never spins or tilts
The principle

Motion explains, it never decorates. The mark is still and certain. The only thing that moves is the gold: it settles into the centre when a match is made. If an animation cannot say why it exists, remove it.

The only logo motion

The mark does not move. No spin, no tilt, no morph. The single permitted gesture is the gold diamond settling into place, a 200ms scale and fade, the first time the mark appears. After that, stillness.

Transitions
Calm and short. 150 to 250ms, ease cubic-bezier(.2,.6,.2,1). Fades and small translates. Nothing springs.
The spark
May appear with a soft fade when a match is recommended or a moment is seen. One spark, one purpose, gone when handled.
Reduced motion
prefers-reduced-motion disables the gold settle and all non-essential transitions. The brand never moves at the cost of comfort.
10

Metix AI speaks the way a wise older colleague speaks. Specific where most are vague, warm where most are clinical, brief where most are bloated. We do not perform expertise. We show it.

Reference points: The Economist for precision, Patagonia for warmth, Stripe for technical honesty, The New York Review of Books for refusing to dumb down.

The delete test: if a sentence could appear in any AI startup's blog post, cut it. If it sounds like a person who has done this work wrote it, keep it.

Difference, why we look unlike the field.

20-brand scan · The open position · The caution
The category shouts in a safe blue. We answer in the one blue that refuses to be safe, held at full strength, with gold. Conviction is the position.

We scanned twenty active brands in AI recruiting, sourcing, and interviewing. Most are blue, so a blue primary is not, by itself, different. The honest case is narrower and stronger: it is which blue, how far we take it, and the gold beside it.

~70%
already use blue, navy, or indigo as the primary
100%
use a default geometric sans-serif wordmark
~12°
hue gap from LinkedIn blue, so hue alone will not carry us
0
use Klein blue full-bleed, with gold
The shade
A pigment, not a tint
IKB sits at 33% lightness, far darker and denser than LinkedIn or Mercor. We commit to #002FA7 and never drift toward a softer blue.
The expression
Full-bleed, not accent
No SaaS tiles a whole viewport in one blue. We do, the way Klein and Fitzcarraldo do. The execution is the moat, not the hex.
The accent
Gold, not more blue
Zero recruiting brands use gold. Klein's own pairing, blue and Monogold, is a signature no competitor can borrow by accident.
The type
Satoshi, not default sans
A grotesque with a point of view, tight and modernist, where the field runs on neutral geometric sans.
The honest tradeoff, and the discipline it demands
A non-blue (the teal we left behind) would differentiate with zero effort; blue makes us earn it. And deep blue plus gold can read, cold, as finance or luxury. So two rules are non-negotiable: hold #002FA7 at full strength in bold doses, and let the copy carry the "this is AI recruiting" signal the color will not. Without the monochrome discipline, we do not get the difference. With it, we get a brand no competitor can assemble by accident.

  • Focus. Every interactive element shows a 2px gold focus ring, offset 3px. Never remove it. It is part of the identity, not an afterthought.
  • Motion. prefers-reduced-motion disables the gold settle and non-essential transitions.
  • Color independence. Never encode meaning in color alone. Success, error, and recommended states carry an icon or a label as well as a hue.
  • Targets. Interactive targets are at least 44 by 44px. Mono labels keep their 0.16em tracking so caps stay readable.
  • Text, not images of text. The wordmark is the only place type becomes an image, and it ships with an aria-label.
Focus, demonstrated

Tab through this book. The active section lights in the rail; every link and button shows the gold ring. Try it.

The candidate angle
Accessibility extends to dignity. The product gives every candidate a mirror profile at metix.ai/me, source-by-source provenance, and one-click removal. The brand never describes a person in language that person would find invasive.
